“ The atmosphere alone is what gets this it's rating. The sunny courtyard with large trees, brick architecture, and plenty of large oak tables makes this amazing on a sunny day. They even have vendors on the outskirts of the courtyard on some weekdays. Inside has nice tables with good warm lighting and a ping pong table. That being said, the beer is decent and the canned beer is pretty pricy (upwards of 15 or so). I know that must be a philly thing but I'm still not use to canned alcohol being so expensive. They can come in a stien which is good but not a big deal for the size. They also have beer cocktails which not many breweries can say and even though I didnt have the coctail I tried the beer it goes with and can tell it would be a good choice. The staff was friendly and helped with recommendations and samples. We are more hazy people and there weren't any even with their big list but I think that is just not their style. They have tones of janga games but no other boardgames which was a little disappointing but not a big deal either. Overall a great place to go with big groups esspecially in good westher. ”
“ Fantastic atmosphere...great food and drink. Helpful and friendly staff. A true hit!!! ”
“ Been a fan of Frankford Hall since the doors first opened over a decade ago. It's nice to have a place to gather over a giant beer and some decent German inspired food once or twice a year with friends/family. While it's still a bit more of a destination place that attracts large crowds, it's also a neighborhood joint with regulars. ”
“ This place is a whole vibe! Great energy, chill crowd, and an awesome selection of beers. I tried Spaten for the first time, and I’m officially a fan.The giant pretzel was soft, warm, and perfect with the dip. Plus, the open bar setup and the ping pong table make it such a fun spot to hang out. Whether you’re here for the drinks, the food, or just the atmosphere, this place delivers. ”
“ Frankford Hall is a great night out no matter who you are with from Alcoholic milkshakes to the Bavariam soft pretzels and beer cheese the food is good. The outside seating with heat lamps is such a vibe and they have fire pits that you can ask to have lit. I always recommend this spot. Unique German beer garden! ”
“ The atmosphere is great bescue there are many lights, isn't too loud, there are many games people could enjoy, like ping pong, Cornhole, and the outside area is very nicely lit up and the music is nice. The service was great as well, u just put a marker on your table and they will bring the food to your table. I gave it 4 stars for service bescue when you come in, they don't seat you, you just seat yourself and find your table. The food was great as well, and was priced moderately for how good it was. ”
“ Great spot to gather with friends, have great food, and drinks. They have spacious indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seating was packed. The outdoor seating has plenty of heaters with 3 large fire pits keeping the square warm. The staff were incredible going around adding fire logs and changing the propane tanks to keep us warm. The food is great to share and very filling. I was very pleased with the drink options. They have beers, ciders, and non-alcoholic options. There are wheelchair accessible stalls with vertical and horizontal grab bars. The sink is a trough still so not ideal. They do not have paper towels but rather opt for high pressure hand dryers right by the door. There was music playing over speakers that was hard to talk over. Definitely hard for those with sensitive hearing or who get over stimulated. I recommend bringing ear plugs if that is you. ”
“ Frankford Hall, located in the heart of Fishtown, Philadelphia, is a modern take on a German beer garden with a hip, industrial feel. It seems to be a popular spot for both locals and visitors thanks to its open-air layout, communal seating, and casual vibe. With ping-pong tables, fire pits, and long wooden tables, it has a lively but relaxed energy — especially in spring and summer when the outdoor area is fully in use. Frankford Hall is surprisingly kid-friendly during the day and makes a good casual outing for families, especially if you’re looking to introduce kids to a lively, cultural setting without it feeling too formal. Just avoid late-night hours and keep expectations flexible. This place is more “family-welcoming” than “family-focused.” ”
